Who is Courtney “CJ” Jacobs.
As I sat in the front of the television set as a little kid Indian style, I stared silently in admiration. It was love at first sight as I watched Allen Iverson battle against Michael Jordan and watched an epic crossover that still gets talked about today. Then my love continued to grow when I saw a wide receiver named Randy Moss run pass and jump over defenders to catch the ball with ease. From that day forth, Moss and Iverson introduced me to a love for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. The love of my life, Sports.
As I grew up with Sports right by side through thick and thin, I still felt something was missing. Throughout my school career, teachers would always tell me how good of a writer I was. I thought they were just saying that until I noticed that I would get A’s on writing assignments that my colleagues would get C’s or worst on. That is when I started to realize my potential in writing.
I introduced sports to writing and the rest is history. They built a unbreakable bond together that only got better with time. We were like the 3 Amigos or just Migos, but we had a connection that was inseparable. This faction has led to internships, published articles, interviews with celebrities, coverage of live sporting events, blogs, meeting Barack Obama, having a story retweeted by Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, traveling the world and much more. The best part about all of this is that, we are just getting started.
